Australian skateboarding British bulldog called “Pommy” shows off his amazing skills
A British bulldog has become a sporting sensation showing off his incredible skills on a SKATEBOARD.
Pommy the nine-month-old pup is the talk of the town in his native Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia.
Since he was three-months-old Pommy has been jumping on the board despite his owners claim that he is usually a lazy office dog.
But as this video and pictures show when the bulldog sees a board he transforms into sporty speed freak – even pushing the board along with his paws.
Stacey Whittaker and her husband Mick, and their two daughter’s Charlotte, 11, and Matilda, 13, first noticed their dog’s odd obsession when he was playing with Charlotte and her skateboard.
Stacey, who runs Bathurst Real Estate with Mick, said: “Our youngest daughter Charlotte is a bit of a skater and she got the skateboard out and he just hopped on it and took off.
“We didn’t even teach him, he just sort of got on it with her for a while because she’ll ride the board at the back of the business sometimes.
“It was probably about six months ago was his first time he actually got on a skateboard and he just loved it.
“I’ve never seen an animal so keen to hop on something like that. My husband has a board as well, not that he’s a rider, he just had one, and Pommy has now claimed it as his own.
“As soon we put it down on the ground he just jumps on it and off he goes.
“He’s only a baby still and he comes into the office, he is an office dog and he spends all of his day sleeping.
“But when you get this skateboard out he’s a completely different animal.”
