Angry motorist caught on camera swearing at drivers using the hard shoulder to skip queue in traffic jam
This is the hilarious moment an enraged motorist berated impatient drivers who were using the hard shoulder to skip the queue in a traffic jam.
The shocking video shows the unnamed man hurling abuse at passing cars, as they use the hard shoulder to skip the backlog of traffic on the M1, between junction nine and ten, near Luton South.
The irate man shouts, ‘what are you doing you w**kers, this is the hard shoulder’, after getting out of his car to launch an expletive-laden tirade at passing motorists.
He then attempts to prevent cars from passing through, by standing in the middle of the road and knocking on their windows, before sticking up his fingers in a derogatory manner.
During the one minute video, the incensed man can also be heard shouting, ‘I want to go that way as well, but I’m not, because it’s the hard shoulder, you f**king p**cks’.
The sweary rant was filmed by Dan Conroy, 30, who was stuck in traffic for three hours on the motorway after a road accident caused congestion.
Dan, a business development manager from Milton Keynes, said: “Apparently there had been a severe accident approximately three miles ahead of us.
“The motorway was subsequently shut and we were stuck in non-moving traffic for about three hours.
“During this time I saw multiple emergency service vehicles using the hard shoulder to reach the scene.
“However, cars started to use the hard shoulder in an effort to beat the queues; more and more people started to follow and before long the hard shoulder started to backup too.
“It got to a point when a fellow driver had simply had enough and decided to try and humiliate those who took it upon themselves to use the hard shoulder.
“He was pretty angry and there was liberal use of the ‘W’ word throughout his rant.
“I think about 40 cars shot past him before he decided to get out of his car, so tensions were running high, as it had been happening for a while.
“I’m not sure whether his rant was very effective, but he definitely embarrassed them, and probably himself, that’s for sure.”
