Professional bridesmaid lifts lid on bridezilla requests after two years on the job
A professional bridesmaid has lifted the lid on the bridezilla requests she has received since starting her business two years ago.
From being told to spy on a stag do in Ibiza to dying her hair so she matches the other bridesmaids, Tiffany Wright, 36, has heard it all.

After starting her job as a professional bridesmaid back in 2016 – she has since encountered some bizarre requests after attending around 50 weddings of both clients and friends.
Tiffany – who now boasts a huge collection of bridesmaid dresses – has earned a small fortune after charging up to £5k per bride.
She is now sharing her experiences of bridezillas for the first time after claiming it’s not the easy job that most assume.
Tiffany, from Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, said: “I flew out to Ibiza to keep an eye on all the stags, I kept my distance the whole trip, kept a close eye on them.
“I had their whole itinerary as the bride managed to get it off of the stags, so I always knew their plans.

“There was obviously distrust in the relationship, the groom didn’t set a foot wrong, which I reported back.”
Tiffany has even been hired as a bridesmaid to ensure the bridesmaids didn’t put on any weight for the wedding.
Tiffany said: “One bride had her mind set on which bridesmaids dresses she wanted and was concerned some of her curvier friends wouldn’t fit or suit them so as a discreet way of helping them lose weight, I organised a ‘wellness weekend’ for them all which was basically a weightloss bootcamp.
“We spent the weekend doing yoga, eating salads and working out so it definitely wasn’t your typical pre-wedding party.

“We were all in bed by 8pm most nights – it’s safe to say there weren’t any penis straws or Jägerbomb during our trip.”
Tiffany has even been asked to keep a wedding photographer away from a particularly attractive pair of wedding guests as the bride was worried they would ‘outshine’ her.
She’s also had to deal with a bride who had a ‘hen-do gift list’ whereby the cheapest gift was £100.
Tiffany added: “All these women are self proclaimed bridezillas – they seem to wear the title like a badge of honour.
“I’ve had someone ask for my advice on if to have a friend of hers as a bridesmaid because she was trying to get pregnant, and the bride didn’t want a pregnant bridesmaid.

“It’s crazy what people can be concerned about.”
Tiffany came up with the idea of becoming a ‘professional bridesmaid’ after she attended 17 weddings in two years and noticed a common theme at them all – an extremely stressed bride.
She added: “Whilst sometimes I am undercover, by the end of the wedding, and after the bride has had a few drinks, they often end up telling people who I am and that they actually only met me a couple of weeks ago.”
Tiffany has helped over 150 brides now, and been an actual bridesmaid at peoples’ weddings seven times – on other occasions, she’s acted more as a bridal personal assistant.

She said: “Sometimes not having a personal or family connection to someone can be a bonus with some tasks.
“For example, one bride’s parents had divorced and her dad wanted to bring his new girlfriend – who was a similar age to her – with him to the wedding and it was my job to break the news to her mum.
“It can be a difficult job at times but it’s unique and I couldn’t wish for a better career despite the bridezillas.”
