Mum Covered In Painful Eczema Across Face Hails Miracle £8 Cream For Transforming Skin
A mum covered in painful eczema across her face has hailed an £8 miracle cream for transforming her skin.
Mum-of-two Nicola Johnston, 30, praises the life-changing Aveeno cream for clearing her skin of eczema for the first time in years.
Full time vlogger, Nicola, has suffered with red rashes and dry skin since she was seven-years-old and despite trying multiple products and remedies, her severe eczema has always returned after a couple of months.
But after purchasing Aveeno Dermexa – in a bid to minimise the rashes – in February, she was stunned when the £8 cream cleared her skin once and for all.
Nicola, from Carlisle, Cumbria, said: “As a child, I would get eczema in waves but as soon as I hit 21 years-old it became uncontrollable.
“I was super stressed as I was changing jobs and moving homes with my now husband Tom, 38, so my skin flared up and became so difficult to get rid of.
“I have tried everything and anything, whether it be a remedy I see on social media like the celery juice diet and veganism or prescribed steroids from the doctor.
“It has been years of trial and error for me, the first two months of cutting diary and meat out of my diet were amazing for my skin, but then the eczema returned.
“A friend suggested Aveeno cream in February and my skin dramatically changed within four days.
“I can’t remember the last time my skin was this clear for this long. I really don’t want to jinx anything but it feels amazing.
“I still have patches of eczema, but the majority of my skin is finally clear, and the patches I do have are very manageable with the help of the cream.
“With a night out involving alcohol come the consequences of eczema as this was a trigger along with spicy food.
Nicola, who is now a brand ambassador for Aveeno – used her social media platform to inform other eczema sufferers about the Aveeno Dermexa range.
“Last year in November I had finally narrowed down my triggers, which were mostly due to spices and nightshade foods – particularly tomatoes and peppers – and I was finding new creams that really seemed to help ease the pain of the flare ups, and as such, minimise them.
“I have spent up to £35 on creams before that did not work so when I noticed the difference almost immediately from this one that cost just £8, I couldn’t believe it.
“I apply Aveeno every morning and evening and sometimes during the day too when my skin is feeling dry.
“The red rashes were something that not only affected my skin but my confidence too, it used to feel so down.
“But since becoming a mum of two girls Aria, four and Olivia, two, I have to be as confidence as I can with it.
“As a young adult, I let eczema get the better of me to the point where I had to take anti-depressant tablets, but I took myself off them as I accepted this is how my skin works.
“I realised you can’t put your life on hold, there were days I would miss work due to the physical and mental effects of eczema.
“I decided to share my before and after pictures on Instagram because I wanted to shed a bit of light that eczema sufferers skin can and will get better.
“As well as to showcase this miracle cream.”
