Medal-winning equestrian vaulter hops on her horse for spectacular wedding snaps
A medal-winning equestrian vaulter has hopped on her horse for some spectacular wedding snaps – performing stunts in her full-length bridal gown.
British vaulting star, Joanne Eccles, made sure her beloved horse, WH Bentley, was a huge part of her special day when she married the partner, Fraser Littlejohn, at Caputh Parish Church in Perthshire.
Joanne, who received an MBE in the Queen’s 2017 Birthday Honours List, didn’t let her veil get in the way as she stood on the back of her horse in her full wedding gear whilst he cantered in front of surprised guests.
The newlyweds had planned to have some pictures taken with WH Bentley the day after their nuptials but threw caution to the wind and posed for the spectacular snaps on their wedding day instead.
Joanne has 11 senior championship medals, including three gold medals from World Championships.
She also has two European gold medals and a host of silver and bronze medals.
The 28-year-old, who won all of her medals with WH Bentley, started slowing down her vaulting career in 2015 and now works as a trainer.
