It’s a freaking love story! Freakshow workers lobster boy and bearded lady find true love
A pair for freakshow workers have found love this Valentine’s Day, embracing each other’s oddities.
‘Bearded Lady’ Jessa Olmstead and Grady Still III aka ‘The Lobster Boy’ made their relationship official this month – even though love has been brewing for some time.
Jessa is known as ‘The Bearded Lady’ due to her fluffy facial hair that would make any man proud.
And Grady’s ‘Lobster Body’ nickname stems from his family: he is the sixth generation to have been born with ectrodactyly, a congenital disorder that makes a person’s hands and feet appear like claws.
The pair met at Venice Beach Freakshow in Los Angeles, California, USA, where Jessa has been working for a number of years.
Grady appeared in an episode for a show about Venice Beach Freakshow – named “Freakshow” – and the couple’s love blossomed from there.
Until recently, Jessa and Grady had opted to keep their relationship private.
But after word got around, the couple decided to announce their love interests, much to the delight of fellow workers, friends and visitors to Venice Beach.
Jessa, 30, said: “If people talk about us, let ’em talk – he’s gorgeous and I’m fuzzy.
“If people didn’t talk about us, I’d be surprised.”
Jessa was first attracted to Grady’s sense of humour, while the Lobster Boy, 39, revealed he was attracted to Jessa because of how much they have in common.
Recently, the pair went on a trip to Malibu Beach together, which, Jessa said, gives them hope for their future together.
Todd Ray, the owner for Venice Beach Freakshow, said: “I love it – they are great together, and it’s always exciting to see two friends in love.
“Everyone loves Jessa and Grady, and those who have figured out their romance are so happy for them.
“We hope their love and happiness lasts forever.”
