Watch dog: The shiba inu addicted to TV, movies and Netflix
Chiko the Shiba Inu has given up leading a dog’s life and decided to become a human instead – after becoming an internet sensation through watching NETFLIX.
According to his owner Olesia Kuzmychova, the smart 7-month-old pup is completely addicted to films and Netflix.
And whenever he isn’t chilling in front of the screen, he’s sat bolt-upright at the table or picnic benches, doggedly following rigorous rules of decorum.
Olesia said: “From the first day I bought him he started watching TV with me, so when I went out I started leaving the TV on for him.
“The next thing, I noticed he started watching whole movies whether I was sat there or not.
“For the first month I was completely surprised. I know some dogs like to watch TV, but not hours like him. But now it’s completely normal to me.”
Even when Chiko is out for a walk in the park, he wants his dose of Netflix.
Her family and friends still don’t know what to think of Chiko’s eccentric behaviour, however.
Olesia said: “My Mum is shocked and everyone else is too.”
As for his perfect posture, Olesia says not a bit of it comes from training. Instead, she speculates it comes from sitting on her lap.
She said: “One time, I was watching Netflix with him and after a few minutes he put to legs downwards like a human.
Olesia, originally from the Ukraine, hit the headlines in 2013 when she won a £238,165 jackpot from a 20p bet on an online slot machine.
She has since quit her £290-per-week job in Newmarket, Suffolk, and moved to Hong Kong, where she lives with Chiko.
