This is the adorable moment a toddler becomes really excited after receiving broccoli, bananas and courgette as Christmas presents.

Mini Mason Reese cannot hide his enthusiasm when he begins removing tissue paper from a bag of gifts at home in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, USA.

Uncovering the first present on December 4 2016, he finds a head of broccoli and exclaims ‘look, broccoli’ before taking a small bite.

Carefully placing down the cruciferous present in front of him, Mason then ecstatically pulls out a banana, courgette and even a toothbrush.

Lianne said: There was so much laughter when he saw the presents.

“We filmed it knowing that Mason would love the ‘gifts’.

“When the video was over he immediately asked if we could cook his zucchini and he wanted to help chop it.”

At five-months-old, Mason was diagnosed with a rare food allergy called Food Protein Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES), meaning many foods left him sick.

Lianne said: “He was always fine with vegetables, so he ended up eating a lot of them.

“Thank goodness he loves them so much, so he calls himself an herbivore.

“Broccoli is probably his favourite vegetable to eat but he flips out excitedly over Brussels sprouts on the stalk.

“Fortunately, on December 7 last year, he passed a food challenge and was declared FPIES free.”
