Underwear dads can go nuts for! Boxers designed to protect crown jewels being kicked by kids

These boxer shorts are quite the package for dads – containing a padded pouch to protect their crown jewels from aggressive kids.

The undies are designed to keep dads safe when up against the kicking, swinging, and punching by their little ones.

But the FridaBalls underwear themselves seem to have hit just the right spot, as the first batch for pre-order sold out within 24 hours.

US sitcom actor Oliver Hudson was one of the first dads to get his hands on a pair and has been praising them on social media ever since.

Thousands more people have joined the waitlist for the $27.99 [£21.06] underwear in an effort to protect their privates.

In an Instagram video, Oliver said: “I believe in the preservation of testicles.

“You know when a kid comes by and swoops your nuts? He ball-taps you and you just crumble to the ground? That’s not gonna happen anymore.”

The boxers are being made by baby product manufacturer Fridababy, which is patenting the pouch design under the name ‘Heirloom Conservation Technology’.

CEO Chelsea Hirschorn dreamed up the idea as a gift to her husband.

As well as the extra padding they also come with a breathable material and a non-slip waistband to keep the protection in the right place.

A spokesperson for FridaBaby said: “FridaBalls is the boxer brief designed to add branches to your family tree.

“Each pair of FridaBalls is equipped with a reinforced protective pouch to soften the blow and keep dad’s buddies safe.

“Breathable wicking fabric to keep things fresh, a never slip secure waistband and our patent pending Heirloom Conservation Technology.

“Fridababy helps parents tackle everyday sticky situations by providing them with smart, innovative and simple tools.

“And now, they’ve got your back – or should we say front.”

FridaBalls are available in S/M and L/XL to buy online.
