The 1, 2, 3 mum: Parents who already had a son, then twins shocked to find out they are now expecting triplets
A PREGNANT woman has been dubbed the 1, 2, 3 mum after she had one son, then twin boys and is now expecting TRIPLETS.
Nia Tolbert, 28, said her husband Robert, 31, fainted when he heard the news that they would be having three more kids on top of the children they already have.
The family, from Maryland, US, are now looking forward to welcoming the three babies after finding out they were expecting after conceiving naturally in August.
Yoga instructor Nia said she had never expected to see three babies in the sonogram – but they are all now excited to meet the new arrivals.
She said: “We have a six year old boy, Shai and two year old twins Riley & Alexander.
“Robert and I have always joked about having a large family, but we did not plan to have any more pregnancies after the twins. But we were in for a surprise.
“Shai was born in 2011, Robert and I were married in 2014, and our honeymoon babies arrived in 2015.
In August of this year we discovered we were expecting again, and shortly thereafter discovered we were expecting multiples – again.
“I told the technician I never thought I’d see “baby C” on sonogram Not ever in my life.
“I shared the news with Robert via a love note, the sonogram pictures and 3 onesies labelled 1, 2, 3.
“Once I arrived in Tampa later that day for girls trip, I was finally able to get in touch with him and he shared that he was happy, but he’d ‘fainted!’
“Since then, we’ve just been making adjustments and space for our three little blessings arriving soon!”
