Modest-looking home on the outside features interior time capsule more suitable for 70s party animal
This modest-looking home may seem suited to its quite neighbourhood on the outside, but inside it offers a time capsule, far more suited to an international partier from the 70s.
A velvet staircase, shag purple carpeting, tiger statue, and gumball and pinball machines are just a few of the features dotted around the fascinating throwback abode.
In bigger-feature terms, a swimming pool is accompanied by the likes of a slide, sauna, hot tube, bar, and 1.8 acres of space for outdoor entertaining – perfect for hosting a large-scale party.
The property is priced at $375,000 USD and comes with four bedrooms, two full bathrooms and two half bathrooms.
This price, listing agent Dennis Bamber said, makes the home somewhat of a steal, as although the interior needs some work, a property of similar size and granduer in Sturgis, Michigan, USA, could ask around $1.5 million USD.
The nearly-6,500-foot home, Dennis, who represents Cressy and Everett Real Estate, said, is perfect for either a large family, or someone who is simply looking to entertain.
He said: “It’s an 800-pound gorilla in a small neighbourhood.
“The [family] pictures I’ve seen from the previous owners, it looks like the kids had a ball here growing up here.”
“They type of buyer could be someone with kids; it could be someone who’s social and wants to entertain a lot; it has to be a buyer that has imagination.”
The biggest selling points, Dennis said, are the home’s size, location and the fact that it is in a modest neighbourhood.
So far, dozens have taken a look at the home – many of whom have been “amazed by it,” Dennis said.
He added: “It’s a house that was built to live life to the fullest.
“It’s a great house to have a party.
“People are amazed by it. I think some don’t know what to do with it.”
