Man breaks world record and thrills spectators by doing 82 lightning fast knuckle push ups within one minute
Most struggle to do a few push ups, but an Indian man has smashed the world record for maximum number done on his knuckles in one minute.
KJ Joseph, 35, did 82 of the harder push ups in 60 seconds.
The previous record was held by an Ron Cooper of the United States, who did 79 push ups in 2015.
Joseph, a karate and kalari master, said: “I am extremely happy that I could manage to break the record at this age. Most gymnasts and Karate practitioners quit the sport by the time they are 32-33.”
The feat has helped Joseph enter the Guinness Book of World Records.
The karate master, who is also an Ayurveda practitioner, has already set his eyes on improving his record.
He now intends to do 90 push-ups in one minute, and in the process break his own record.
Joseph said: “I have already set my sights on beating my own target by at least eight push ups.
“It is a nice addition to my record collection, having already entered the Universal Record Forum by doing 2092 push-ups in an hour.”
Joseph also holds the record for breaking iron bars with bare hands.
The secret of his success, he says, is avoiding the gym, adding: “I don’t think one attains this sort of body by hitting the gym. One should stick to the regular fitness regime of doing small work out session regularly at home including a healthy diet plan.”
