Enchanting property for sale comes with very own gingerbread house
This enchanting property is certainly a sweet treat, as it comes with what realtors have described as its very own GINGERBREAD HOUSE.
The fascinating abode is currently on the market for 1.57 MILLION GBP (2.2 MILLION USD) and is split up into four homes, dating back to the 1750s.
The “Gingerbread House” evolved from a converted barn, which was initially a sculpting studio in the 1920s.
Over the next 25 years, however, the owner, sculptor Sir Henry Hudson Kitson, coverted the barn into the magical wonder it is today – adding stained glass, wood, intricate metal work and local stone.
In total, the property spans some 7,750 square-feet of living space, including the barn (initially from the 1880s); a silo studio straight out of a fairytale; a four-bedroom colonial home; and a 1900s shed that has been converted into a cottage.
Set on four acres, the home, named Santarella, is located in Tyringham, Massachusetts, USA, and offers seven bedrooms and six bathrooms in total.
In his 31 years working in real estate, listing agent Steven Weisz said he has never come across a property quite like this, combining quaint living conditions, fairytale-like elements, and space to entertain.
He said: “There is nothing like Santarella.
“There is nothing about the property that is not special. It is truly unique in every way.
“From the 80-tonne asphalt roof, designed to replicate the thatched roofs of Britain, to the flowing masonry work of the Grand Hall, to the silo rooms, to the magical gardens and Lilly pond. There is nothing like it.
“It could not be recreated today.
“If anyone is looking for a truly one-of-a-kind property, this is it!”
