Dad & daughter duo groove through the ages in a wedding dance mashup
This awesome dad and daughter duo provided wedding guests with a real treat as they ditched the traditional dance for a boogie through the ages.
Bride Holly Wolff and her dad Rick Harnsberger from Olmsted Falls, Ohio, USA, popped, locked and jived to some of their favourite songs in front of a few hundred guests at Holly’s wedding in October.
Walking onto the dance floor on and swaying slowly to a Celine Dion classic, all seems relatively normal with this wedding day ritual on October 1.
That is until a swift spin around is met with a drastic change in music, and Rick proves that he’s got far more rhythm than your average dad dancer to rapturous applause.
Holly said: “It was so much fun, we absolutely loved doing it.
“It was actually my dad’s idea.
“He’s danced with me before at my old dance studio and as you can see, he’s pretty good at it.
“We wanted to keep it as a complete surprise, so only my mum and Kyle, my husband knew.
“Everyone adored it and couldn’t stop telling us how awesome it was.”
The pair continue to groove in perfect harmony with one another for several minutes, while friends and family look on cheering and laughing as they do.
The biggest cheer of all came when Rick channeled his inner Justin Timberlake to NSYNC’s ‘Bye Bye Bye’, receiving high fives from those all around him.
However, the dance floor throw down wasn’t the only change in wedding-day convention.
Holly said: “We had an amazing day, we loved how much it reflected us as people.
“We cut out cake with a huge sword and even had a Nerf gun battle with a T-Rex on our entrance.
“It was all such good fun.”
