A Shropshire Woman and her experienced captain husband who were thought to be missing off St Lucia have been FOUND.

No contact had been received from Arthur Alleyne, 63, and his 59-year-old wife Sharon Went-Alleyne since Saturday afternoon.

Tao Alleyne, the couple’s 24-year-old daughter confirmed the pair – who have been married for 26 years – had been found safe and well on Wednesday evening.

Damian Alleyne, Arthur’s son from a previous marriage, confirmed: “Dad and Sharon have both been found safe and well.

“He is dehydrated and hungry but apart from that they are fine.”

The couple, who live in St Lucia, left there Saturday for a routine sail to Barbados, but went missing, and attempts by marine authorities in Martinique, St Lucia and Barbados were unsuccessful.
