Shocking images of rabbit found with broken leg and both ears cut off

These are the shocking images of a rabbit who was found with a broken leg and both of his ears CUT OFF.

The white rabbit was found by a member of the public in a park near Dirkhill Road, Bradford, West Yorks, with its fur covered in blood.

RSPCA officials, who were called to retrieve the injured rabbit, on October 12, believe the tiny mammals ears had been hacked off using a pair of scissors.

Vets are now being forced to amputate the rabbits broken leg and investigators are calling for anyone with information on the callous attack to come forward.

RSPCA inspector Joanne Hartley said: “This animal has suffered incredibly.

“I want to hear from anyone who has any specific information that might lead me to who is responsible.

“What happened to this rabbits ears can’t have been an accident. We actually believe they have been cut off using scissors.

“The rabbits back left leg was also badly broken. The rabbit is on pain relief at the vet’s and they’re going to amputate the broken leg, but the poor creature isn’t out of the woods yet.”

Inspector Hartley said: "It's inconceivable that someone could do something so terrible to a living thing."

The RSPCA said the rabbit was not microchipped so they are unable to trace its owner.

“I’ve been an RSPCA inspector for 15 years but I’m constantly shocked by the things I have to deal with in this job.

“If anyone recognises this rabbit, or saw anything specific that might help my investigation, please call me.”
