Newlywed Brit ‘becomes fourth to die’ after Grand Canyon helicopter crash
A NEWLYWED has become the fourth Brit to die following a Grand Canyon helicopter crash 12 days ago, according to reports.
Jon Udall, 32, is said to have died from his injuries after going on the trip with wife Ellie Milward.
The couple went on the trip as part of their honeymoon after getting married last year, according to Jonathan’s father, Philip.
Jon was trapped in the wreckage for eight hours before being rescued after Ellie, 29, staggered free.
They remained in a critical condition but tonight friend Chris Tucker confirmed Jon had passed away.
He wrote on a JustGiving page: “It is with a very heavy heart that I must type this.
“Our good friend Jon Udall has succumb to his injuries. He was strong, brave and I will never forget him. I will update this page when possible.
“Ellie is critical and is continuing to fight. Love, Chris.”
He becomes the fourth tourist to die in the horror crash in the Nevada desert which also killed brothers Jason, 32, and Stuart Hill, 30.
Stuart’s girlfriend Becky Dobson, 27, was also killed.
Witnesses rushed to the scene but struggled to reach the victims who had fallen 600ft down in the canyon, in Hualapai Nation reservation.
The group had planned the holiday a year in advance to celebrate one of them turning 30 and two of them getting married.
