Driver fined for using giant stuffed teddy to beat traffic

A woman will have to grin and BEAR a fine – after attempting to use a giant TEDDY to beat traffic.

The female driver, 19, placed a giant bear in the passenger seat of her car in the hope it would allow her to use a 2+ lane.

TEDDY IN PASSENGER SEAT

The teddy bear used to try and beat the two-passenger road traffic law

But the woman, from Everett in Washington, USA, was soon caught out by the law.

Drivers can use HOV lanes if they have a fellow passenger but when a trooper clocked her driving 74mph he also received quite a shock.

In total, the woman racked up charges for speeding, a HOV violation and for not having car insurance – costing $818 (GBP505).

Mark Francis, who pulled the woman over on the I-5 south in Lynnwood, revealed: “She said she didn’t have any room in the back of her minivan for the bear.

“She definitely knew she shouldn’t be in the HOV lane.”
