Seeing double! Artists transform people into the spitting image of their icons
A trio of artists can transform you into the spitting image of your biggest icons.
Using a clever combination of make-up and design, the collaborators have recreated Audrey Hepburn, The Joker and Charlie Chaplin’s finest hours with a model just like you.
It is part of an on-going project where the trio take iconic photos and bring them back to life.
Fashion photographer Etienne Clotis first came up with the idea a few years ago, before artist and designer Lucie Vervelle came on board.
The trio are completed by Joris Souris, a make-up artist, who altogether recreate the portraits.
They’ve even hosted their very own exhibition following on from an incredibly successful photographic project.
‘ICONIC‘ – as they are known – have also copied famous photos of Elvis Presley, Whitney Houston, Marilyn Monroe and David Bowie.
Etienne said: “I try and capture the essence of my subjects by putting myself in their skin.
“Lucie designs the outfits and painstakingly researches her collaborators, while Joris goes in search of different make-up techniques so that each model resembles their icon as much as humanly possible.”
