Man, I feel like a woman! Man’s incredibly realistic makeover makes him look like a woman
What a transformation! At first glance this model could be a pretty young woman – but this man’s incredibly realistic makeover is just an illusion.
Talented George Popescu, from Romania, has had a passion for makeup since he was little and started out by watching YouTube tutorials, practicing on family and friends – and before long he was contouring like a pro.
George, 21, said: “I used to look at my mother apply her makeup before going out to work, and just be fascinated on how we can use our face as a blank canvas so we can paint on it.”
George has now moved to Paris with his boyfriend to pursue his dream and study at specialist makeup school ITM Paris.
He said: “I realised that I really wanted to do this and I want this to be my life.
“I got really interested in the art of drag after watching TV shows about it, and was fascinated by the illusion that can be created.
“I decided to try it on myself, but have a modern twist to it to make it feel fresh.
“This is not me wanting to be a woman – this is me expressing my art and the illusion I can create with the talent I have.
“I take inspiration from different famous people, like Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.
“But sometimes it’s just pure imagination, and me learning while playing with makeup.
“This is just one of the branches of makeup I do, but this one seems to have the ‘wow factor’.”
George’s incredible transformations can take up to a staggering four hours.
He said: “I am talking about shaving, preparing, applying all the makeup with care, and trying to make my cheap wig work with my fabulous face!
“My style of makeup is heavy dark – I like really dramatic glam looks!
“I am a very artistic person and my love for art in general shows in my work.
“I take inspiration from everywhere – paintings, buildings, people, or just looking at a colour.
“It is an expensive passion, and doing it professionally is not easy.
“Makeup is not cheap and you have to buy a lot for every possible client.
“Even for myself I tend to spend more than the average person, just because I like to create different looks.
“But I always say it is not necessary to buy a lot of makeup as a normal, everyday person.
“It’s about making smart choices and seeing what looks good on you.
“Be true to yourself and do not let others define who you are!”
