Happily never after: Make-up artist transforms into dead disney princesses
A talented make-up artist has transformed herself into her favourite Disney Princesses with a dark Halloween twist.
YouTube star, Shonagh Scott of ShowMe MakeUp, spent 90 minutes creating the gruesome faces with her own gory take on the classic stories.
In her version of the Little Mermaid, Ariel’s voice box has been ripped out by the Ursula, the sea witch.
In Snow White, the Evil Queen’s poisoned apple has cause severe chemical burn to the princess’ face.
Cinderella has tripped down the stairs while fleeing the prince and impaled her face on her glass slipper.
In Shonagh’s take on Frozen, Elsa’s powers backfire and she stabs herself with an icicle leaving her with frost bitten fingers.
And in Beauty and the Beast, the Beast has lashed out at Belle after she stole his rose.
The project was part of a commissioned piece for Velour Lashes’ Halloween Pop-Up.
Shonagh was chosen to be the face for the event with the theme ‘Happily Never After’.
Shonagh, from Essex, UK, said: “It was just a case of choosing popular Princesses, so I chose my five of my favourites.
“I know their famous storylines, and I twisted the story so the outcome was an unfortunate one for the poor Princesses.
“Halloween is my favourite time of year for makeup. I can go wild without people thinking I’m a freak.”
Shonagh’s knack with a brush has been noticed by the film industry with a number of studios teaming up with the professional.
She was commissioned by Warner Bros to produce tutorials to coincide with the release of Hot Pursuit, starring Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara.
Last week she created a Raptor inspired Halloween tutorial for Universal for the DVD release of Jurassic World.
Currently Shonagh is working on a realistic Zombie for the promo release of a new film A Scouts Guide To A Zombie Apocalypse.
