A social media advocate has decided to create ‘instagrammable’ foods all in the shape of a penis.

Lauren Hom, 27, has always loved cooking and sexual innuendos, so after a comment suggesting combining the two appeared on her Instagram account, she decided to create her own website.

The illustrator, from Detroit, Michigan, US, created her brand ‘Peen Cuisine’ to show off her phallic food creations.

Since making her creations in June 2017, Lauren has created all sorts of dishes – from a caprese salad, to cake pops, to ricotta, all in the shape of a penis.

Lauren said: “I was inspired to create Peen Cuisine because of a comment someone left on one of my Instagram photos that said: ‘cuisine before peen’.

“I’m passionate about making people laugh and also challenging the social stigma that having sexual feelings is something to be ashamed of.

“I thought that food was a creative and fun vehicle to celebrate sex in an entertaining way.

“After the comment, I decided to create the website because it combines both my love of cooking and sexual innuendo.

“When I first told my family what I was doing, however, I think they thought I was a giant weirdo – but now they love it and ask to eat the leftovers!”

Despite having only launched her website last week, Lauren has five months’ worth of recipes stored away to post on her site.

Lauren added: “I make two or three dishes a week at the moment, but I’m planning on releasing at least one recipe a week on the website.

“I hope that I can increase the number of recipes that I’m making and present to maybe three or four someday.

“My favourite recipe so far is the Fried Tofu with Peen-nut Sauce, because I’ve been making this sauce for years.

“However I also love the Pear and Gorgonzola Peenza because it’s versatile – it’s great as a classy appetiser for a dinner party, but also as a dinner for you and your bestie.”
