You’ve goat to be kid-ding! Peculiar pictures of nine goats clambering up a tree
This is the unbe-leaf-able moment a group of nine goats were found standing on the branches of a TREE.
The adventurous animals looked completely at ease as they clambered to the top of the large Argan tree in Tamri Morcocco.
But while it may seem like a peculiar sight, these tree-climbing goats are no ‘Silly-Billies’ the resourceful animals climb the tree to tuck into its leaves and fruit.
The fruit is hard to come by and the goats — better known for navigating mountain ranges — are often so desperate for it they climb trees in search of it.
And it’s good news for local farmers too who typically follow these herds of goats from tree to tree, as the fruits have a nut inside which the goats can’t digest. Once they excrete them, kernels contained in these nuts can be ground to make argan oil – a popular beauty and cooking product.
These incredible photographs were taken in Tamri, Morocco by Swiss photographer Francis Naef, using a Nikon D800 with a 24-70m f/2.8 lens.
He said: “I’ve always wanted to see this scene for real and of course it was amazing for me to have the opportunity to take some photos.
“They looked pretty secure. At least, I didn’t see any goats falling down.”
