These are the underdogs – a photographer has captured images of dogs under sheets of glass giving us a whole new meaning to the term.

Jason Kenzie and designer, Tania Ryan, from Vancouver, Canada, decided to create the underdog project together after being inspired by a previous pet shoots.

After taking a picture of Tania’s dog, Rocky, they were so excited by the results that they went to a local dog day care centre to take some more.

Jason said: “The photos are creative images of dogs unlike that ever seen before, they are cute and angelic with each image making them look puppy like.

“By using the glass sheets we are able to capture a different angle of looking at dogs.

“We needed lots of dog treats, great camera and the right lighting.

“These images make people smile and we are strong advocates for animal welfare.”

Jason and Tania were on their way to a photoshoot of Dalmatian puppies when Tania turned to Jason and suggested they take some images from underneath.

Jason immediately thought this was a great idea.

Jason said: “We’ve had lots of people state that the dogs look like puppies that are flying or dancing.

“We have had an incredible amount of positive feedback from people.”
