This brave little boy is certainly in the position to give his dad some GATOR-AID.

A video shows JJ McDonald, 2, helping his dad by capturing and pinning down a two-year-old, two foot alligator.

The toddler, from Colorado, has been wrestling his toy alligator since he could walk and is now fully confident in helping his dad with the baby alligators on the family’s croc farm.

JJ’s father Jason, 35, said: “JJ started to catch the gators only recently, but he has been around them since he was born.

“He really likes to help out with the care of the alligators. He loves to feed them and help me do wellness checks on them.

“He says at least a few times a day that he wants to go to the gator farm to see them.

“Honestly I didn’t need to teach JJ much when it came to gator wrestling. He has seen me do it loads of times and practiced on his stuffed gator since he could walk.

“JJ is only allowed to play with the small gators and never solo.

“Young kids are very hands on learners and we try to show them reptiles aren’t scary. It’s important to educate kids that animals aren’t monsters and to safely understand them.

“Many of the non-furry cuddly animals have a bad image because people have such misunderstanding about them.

“JJ is young enough that he doesn’t want to catch gators to prove how tough he is, he is he’s doing it because he likes to help the animal.”
