Team work makes the dream work – tiny ants snapped fishing and building houses together by creative photographer

These tiny ants have been snapped building houses and fishing together by a creative photographer.

Andrey Pavlov, 59, from Saint Petersburg, Russia, uses a macro lens to capture tiny ants in a series of creative photos to make them appear as though they are working as a team.

From fishing to building houses, Andrey uses no special effects but carefully places the ants in different positions.

But aside from his creative images, Andrey’s greatest accomplishment it that no ants were hurt during their acting debut.

Andrey said: “The more time I spend photographing the ants the easier it becomes.

“I prefer to photograph my favorite ants – horse ants.

“I used to work in theatre production which was a big help when it came to making props – and I chose ants because I respect them and their way of life.

“They care about their children and look after the elderly. They have lived for millions of years.

“I take my inspiration from humans but luckily for me ants are quite inquisitive, which seems to make them very willing participants.

“I have created different scenes but now I decided to concentrate on the theme of ‘team work,’  as ants are probably the most team working animals in the world.”
