Pretty kitty! Stunning images shows cheetah reflection as it drinks from waterhole
A teenage photographer has captured a beautiful image of an elegant cheetah drinking from a waterhole in an African reserve.
Harman Singh Heer, from Perth, Australia, who is just 16 years old, took the picture that many photographers dream of in December last year at Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve.
The cheetah‘s reflection is caught on the surface of the water in the perfectly-timed image.
He said: “The pictures show a male cheetah drinking water with the most perfect reflection I have ever seen.
“The cheetah is from a coalition of five male cheetahs, the largest coalition of male cheetahs to have ever been recorded.
“Early one morning in the heart of the Masai Mara, we set out in search of the ‘fast five’ and at the break of dawn, we found them as they walked to a small body of water.
“One of the cheetahs drank water for a few minutes, and as soon as I clicked the first image I knew one shot from the series would be something incredible.
Harman travels to the reserve every year to visit family.
He added: “I was born there and we have family there currently.
“So when we visit, we spend time with family as well as enjoy a week in Masai Mara for wildlife photography.
“Masai Mara is probably my favourite place on earth.
“Everything about it is ethereal – the skies, the endless horizons, and the magnificent animals.
“It is a wildlife photographers paradise.”
