Meet the woman who spends hours each day grooming unicorns – and even paints their hooves with glittery nail polish

Meet the woman who spends hours each day grooming UNICORNS.

Emily Woolley, who runs Pampered Ponies in Worcester, UK spends several hours a day grooming and dressing her magical herd.

With the help of head unicorn groomer, Louise Wickens, she uses special non-toxic “pony paint” to dye their manes and tails all the colours of the rainbow and even uses animal friendly glittery nail varnish to paint their hooves to perfection.

The 37-year-old also adorns her unicorns with braids, flowers and ribbons and of course no unicorn would be complete without a diamante encrusted horn – which she attaches to the bridle.

She then hires her unicorns out for birthday parties, school fetes, village fairs and even weddings.

Emily, who is mum to daughters Alliyah, 10 and Zahra, 8, said: “How long each unicorn takes to get ready really depends on the season.

“In the winter it tends to take a lot longer because they’re all muddy and it’s difficult to bath them but we always make sure they’re gleaming by the end.

“My daughters thought it was amazing at first but they’re used to it now. Although they do still enjoy helping me out.

“We did our first unicorn about two years ago but the latest unicorn craze now means we’re inundated with requests.”
