The elephant bull was just enjoying a stroll in Etosha National Park, Namibia, South Africa, when the dust from his footsteps created the fantastic illusion. Keen photographer Anja Denker caught the moment, which the elephant was seemingly unfazed by. Anja, 48, who lives in Namibia, was on a weeks trip to the park when she stumbled across the elephant. Anja, 48, who lives in Namibia, was on a week’s trip to the park when she stumbled across the elephant.

She said: “I had spotted a bachelor group of three elephant bulls on the grassy plains of Etosha near the Batia waterhole.

“On the other side, two more bulls were making their way across the road in front of my car.

“One of them stood in a patch of sand and started kicking up dust with his feet and trunk, while the other one moved on a bit.

“I only realised afterwards, while scrolling through the images, that the cloud of dust the elephant had created looked like bunny ears.”
