Dog rescued from street beats illnesses to become ‘happiest dog in the world’
A dog rescued from the street has overcome multiple illnesses to become an online sensation.
Gluta, dubbed the happiest dog in the world by fans on the web, was found by now-owner Sorasart Wisetsin on the streets of Thailand.
Sorasart was living in a dorm which didn’t allow pets, so would faithfully meet the stray in a car park every day, where he fed her.
It quickly became clear Gluta was suffering from some medical issues so he took the pooch to the vets.
After tests and scans she was diagnosed with metritis which led to the removal of her uterus.
And then it was discovered she also had cervical cancer – leading to laser surgeries and several rounds of chemotherapy.
But luckily, a year and a half later, she was given a clean bill of health.
Now the pair entertain hundreds of thousands of fans – posting hilarious pictures of the happy dog to Instagram and Facebook.
Sorasart said: “Her sad eyes turned to shine brightly with cheer like never before.
“From now on there will only be a smile on her face.”
