A dog with gigantic tumour on her nose has best final months thanks to dream bucket list

These are the heart-breaking photographs of a dying dog having the best final months of her life.

Lindsey Hutslar, 24, from Ohio, United States, was left devastated when her best friend, Husky, Irie, five, was diagnosed with terminal nasal cancer.

After being told that Irie had just one month to live back in April, Lindsey and her partner Ethan, 24, decided to create a bucket list of fun adventures for their dog.

From kayaking to pedicures, Irie has had the best four months of her life despite her nose tumour trembling in size.

But after four months of fun, Irie has one last camping adventure before she’s set to be put down this Saturday (September 30).

Lindsey said: “I was heartbroken when I was told Irie’s cancer was incurable but I quickly came up with a plan to ensure she had the happiest final months.

“The only treatment available is radiation, but that would make her miserable and wouldn’t guarantee her more time.

“I decided to put together a list of fun things we could do which included visiting pumpkin patches, throwing her a birthday party and entering a fancy dress competition – which she came second in!

“Irie’s nose tumour has grown from the size of a walnut to a golf ball in just four mouths.

“It has been heart breaking watching Irie deteriorate but we’ve shared some hilarious moments together.”

Lindsey threw her pampered pooch a luxury 5th birthday party, where all of her friends were invited, and often dines on fine food.

Lindsey added: “When Irie was first diagnosed we decided to get the easiest, quickest things out of the way so she ate a lot of steak dinners and ice cream.

“However when she started surpassed the one-month line we kept going and started planning things in the future, like the pumpkin patch and costume contest.

“We also took her to the fire station, because the sirens from the fire engines always made her bark and howl – she loved it.

“My favourite part of the bucket list was her birthday party because she had so much fun with her friends.”

Despite Irie having fought her battle for the past five months, her cancer is spreading across her body and she is progressively getting worse.

To put her out of pain, Lindsey and Ethan have decided to get her put to sleep so that she no longer has to suffer.

Lindsey said: “We couldn’t watch her suffer anymore, if we let her continue she would’ve only got worse.

“Her bucket list is almost finished, we only have camping left and we’re just going to do that in our living room if we have to.

“She’s going to be put to sleep in the park because that’s her favourite place, and before she is we’ll spoil her with treats and hugs.

“Everyone has been following Irie’s story on social media and she is so loved and has provided so much happiness to everyone else – so it was only right we gave her as much back.”
