Tulip Season – Photographer Captures The Netherlands Jaw-dropping Tulip Fields.
This photographer has shot a collection of photographs demonstrating the beauty of the Netherlands world famous tulip season.
Photographed during the height of the tulip season by professional Photographer Albert Dros, 33, from Amsterdam, who snapped this beautiful selection between April and May 2019 in the North Holland, and Flevoland Provence.
The jaw-dropping images show a wealth of colour through endless fields of the popular flower, blossoming particularly well after a row of sunny days that allowed them all to bloom at the same time.
Albert said: “The real beauty is in the countryside, where you can view tulips as far as the eye can see, the tulips were very beautiful this year.
“I could photograph them again and again, every year – I keep finding new angles, different weather conditions and new tulips.
“During tulip season you can find the endless fields of tulips all around the country, around 1.5 million tourists visit our famous garden ’the Keukenhof’ each year.”
One of the nation’s most famous tourist attractions, the tulip arrived from Turkey in the 16th century after becoming popular in paintings and at
festivals, creating an economic bubble in the region known as tulip mania.
Albert said: “I’d like to emphasise that the tourism on the countryside for the tulips is quickly increasing over the years, this year was already much more crowded.
“My favourite from this year is the classic photo with a windmill and the tulip field behind it, I had wanted to take a shot like this for a few years now but the fields never aligned properly with a beautiful windmill.”
