Sunset on the emerald isle – Beautiful pictures of Northern Island
These pictures capture some of the most stunning scenes on the Emerald Isle.
Photos from the coastlines of Northern Island show the country’s sweeping sand dunes, coastal castles and amazing rock formations at sunset.
The images show Malin Head, the Giants Causeway, Stroove Lighthouse, Ardara Dunes, Bloody Foreland, Dunluce Castle and Fanad Head as the sun goes down.
The pictures were taken by Italian landscape photographer Alessio Putzu.
Alessio, 29, said: “Northern Ireland was the end of my big project about having at least few different pictures framing the most beautiful locations of the United Kingdom.
“I had my trip planned for months, and I flew to Belfast before driving all the way up to Dunluce Castle and the famous Giant’s Causeway.
“They are such majestic locations and the weather was so beautiful when I was shooting.
“I decided to stay in County Donegal, admiring the amazing Bloody Foreland catching ‘fire’ in the sunset, and the incredible cliff formations of Malin Head going through the pristine white sand dunes of Ardara.
“Camping in these locations, as well as near the beautiful lighthouse on Fanad Head, was amazing.”
