Now that’s green thumbed! Unusual photo shows plant that looks like a thumbs-up
An unusual photo shows a plant that looks just like a thumbs-up.
After collecting the plant known locally as ‘jinjra’, photographer Milind Vachhani, 20, from Gujarat, India, noticed the plants unusual resemblance to the positive gesture.
Capturing the plant in just the right lighting the furry lining of the green crop, gives the appearance of a thumb with a closed hand.
As part of tradition, the crop is offered to god as a thanks for delivering the healthy food.
Milind believes the ‘thumbs-up’ was a sign of approval and gratitude from above.
He said: “As a part of my routine I was going to my work at that time I had a call from my old farmworker informing me that, there was a very good crop growth of cage also known as “jinjra” as a native word.
“Being Gujarati, we love this crop, so I went to village to collect it and as a habit I always have my camera and other equipment with me when I go to my village.
“So going to the village I saw the crop was really good and as a ritual we offer the first part of the crop to god and thank him for giving us such a delicious and healthy food.
“So after doing all this I was relaxing in my farm watching the beautiful sunset and the remains of cage.
“While moving around I just saw this beautiful crop.
“The best part of this picture it is as if god is showing me a thumbs-up and really accepting the crop offering of cage, as if he loved it.”
