Jet set couple take brr-illiant engagement photos – on a GLACIER!
A loved-up couple announced their engagement with these brr-illiant photos – taken on a GLACIER.
Cici Wu and Clement Ng jetted off to Iceland for the unique photoshoot, which also saw them pose on a volcano and next to a waterfall.
The cool couple spent five days in the icy climes getting their perfect photograph after enlisting the help of cinematographer Jacob Wasef.
Vancouver-based Jacob, Creative Director at Life Studios Inc, said it was an ‘exhilarating but challenging’ shoot, with temperamental weather conditions and tricky locations pushing the couple to their limits.
The 31-year-old said: “To keep the couple warm, they’d stay in the SuperJeep with the heat at full blast until we’d fully planned the shots.
“Then they would whip off their jackets and gloves for a set of photos and immediately get back in the vehicle.
“But the weather changed every five minutes – you could have hail to sun to fog to rain in the course of a few minutes!”
The couple also posed in some dangerous areas – including on a volcano and in a glacier cave.
Jacob added: “While on the glacier, we had a couple of types of crampons as well as ice axes which allowed us to be nimble on varying levels of slippery terrain.
“Thankfully no one took a spill on any of the cliffs, and our guide was able to ensure the safest route and conditions at any given time.
“For the shots where steam is rising from the ground, we had to travel to an area named Gunnuhver.
“Here the temperature of the earth can be perfectly normal in one spot, and a foot away be so hot that it could scald you right through your shoe.
“We had to be extremely aware of where we were standing.
“The shoot with Cici and Clement was truly memorable, and one that Life Studios is extremely proud of.”
