Inside Iceland’s Ice Caves
This is the stunning natural beauty of ice caves caught on camera deep beneath the surface of Europe’s biggest ice cap. The other-worldly marble-like caverns form when melt water reacts with the enormous 3,100 km-square Vatnajokull ice flow, in Iceland. As these amazing pictures taken last month show photographer Skarphedinn (Skarpi) Thrainsson who braved minus 12C temperatures to get these amazing results.
