Giraffes graze in front of stunning safari sunset
These stunning silhouettes of giraffes grazing in front of a gorgeous African sunset were captured on the Maasai Mara reserve in Kenya.
Swedish producer and nature photographer, Jonas Stenqvist, 38 from Stockholm struck gold on safari, describing the shot as a simple but beautiful moment in time.
Other photos by Jonas would not look out of place in a Lion King movie with the colourful skyline setting a dramatic backdrop for herds of zebra and wildebeest.
Jonas said: “In order to get decent silhouette photos like these you have basically just got to be in the right place at the right time; something which can come down to pure luck.
“However having an experienced guide and driver who knows where to drive and how to position your vehicle makes a huge difference.
“If and when I happen to be at the right spot, my main focus is composition; and here I don’t follow any real rules, I simply go with what feels right for me personally.
“My personal favourite is the photo with the giraffe craning its neck when reaching for the tree.
