Daredevil climber holds on to sheer cliff with one hand in front of beautiful sunset
A daredevil climber clings on to a sheer cliff with just ONE HAND in front of a beautiful sunset.
The gymnastic silhouette of Daniel Sromek is a stark contrast to the beautiful colours of the Mediterranean dusk.
Daniel, 26 from Poland, was precariously perched 50 metres up the Grande Grotta on the Greek island of Kalymnos.
The stunning photographs were shot by Polish photographer Adam Kokot at the third time of asking.
Adam, 34, said: “It was incredible watching Daniel climb the Grande Grotta.
“It only took him 20 minutes to get to the top so I had to be quick to take his photo.
“He is such an experienced climber that, when he started doing star shapes, I wasn’t worried for him.
“He does crazy stuff like that all the time.”
Grande Grotta towers over the beautiful village of Masouri on the west coast of the island.
Despite being a Greek island, Kalymnos is only 25 miles off the Turkish resort of Bodrum and once belonged to the Ottoman Empire.
Adam said: “Kalymnos is one of the best climbing destinations in Europe.
“It has thousands of trails with amazing views.
“Unfortunately, it took three attempts to get photos of Daniel.
“The weather had been quite bad so it was too dangerous for him to climb.”
