Dad snaps moment ‘hand of God’ shaped cloud appears over home

DAD SNAPS HAND OF GOD CLOUD

A dad-of-two caught a bizarre formation in the sky that has been likened to both the ‘hand of God’ and even ‘God breaking wind through the clouds’.

Matt Doogue, 31, spotted the apocalyptic-looking cloud, which appears like a fist or ball pushing through the sky, floating over the Scottish town of Bathgate last Sunday (OCT 9).

Despite being on the motorway when he spotted the bizarre shape, Matt rushed home to get a picture and discovered the formation could be seen even clearer from his house.

Matt said: “My wife Abigail could not believe it, as well as my two daughters who said it looked like Thor’s hammer.

“Others have compared it to the ‘hand of God, or that it’s God breaking wind through the clouds. Others have suggested it could be aliens.

“Someone even mentioned testicles to describe the shape of the cloud, which I found pretty hilarious.

“I have no idea what caused it but I can be certain of is that some people clearly have a great sense of imagination.”

Matt was on his way home from a day out in Loch Lomond when he spotted the shape and pointed it out to his family.

Matt said: “We were on the motorway when I spotted this weird shape in the sky, at first I didn’t really know what was going on.

“It looked like something you would see in apocalyptic movies or maybe a nuclear bomb, I had never seen anything like that.”

The holographic engineer rushed to his camera and grabbed it out of the boot as soon as he arrived at his home.

Matt said: “I could not wait to get home, I was desperate to take some photographs of that cloud.

“I was so excited, I got my camera out of my boot and took this amazing shot. It’s not every day you photograph something like that.”

The photograph was the source of much hilarity with Matt’s friends and family, including his two young daughters, Amber, six and Jasmine eight, who both described it as Avengers superhero Thor hitting the clouds with his hammer.
