Artist creates incredible portraits – despite being born with no arms

These portraits are so life-like it’s difficult to believe they are pencil drawings – and even more amazing that they’re created by a man with no ARMS.

Mariusz Kedzierski, 23, was born without fully formed arms – but has managed to forge a career as a successful artist by balancing a pencil between his stumps.

His drawings are so detailed they look like black and white photos – but every stroke on the paper is carried out by a single pencil.

Mariusz, from Poland, works in the open air – and attracts hundreds of fascinated observers every day, and also now works as a motivational speaker.

He said: “I was born with a disability, so I’ve never known what it was like to have arms.

“When I was younger, other children would talk about me and say I was a freak, and I couldn’t figure out why I was the way I was, why it was me who had to be different.

“A few years ago, I saw a motivational video on the internet, which said, if you can’t get a miracle, become one.

“I realised that was what I needed to do. I started to draw during one of the most difficult moments of my life, and people started to tell me they really liked my work.

“I kept doing it because I love to draw, though.
