Current job vacancies at our office in Birmingham, West Midlands:
Digital Content Manager
Caters Media Group is expanding, and we have an exciting opportunity for a digital content assistant to join our team.
We are a multi media agency that supplies content to the world’s best-loved publications, and we need an organised individual with meticulous attention to detail to help manage our digital library of more than a million images and video clips.
The role will involve being the gatekeeper to our archive – ensuring the content is uploaded, captioned and edited in the correct manner.
We are looking for a quick learner who prides themselves on their excellent attention to detail, and whose spelling and grammar is impeccable. Working closely with the rest of our picture desk, you’ll need to be able to upload and caption images, as well as adding relevant key words so the content is easily searchable.
You’ll be passionate about data management, and really care about and understand the importance of data accuracy.
Some knowledge of Photoshop would be helpful, as minor editing of images is sometimes required, but not essential, as training can be provided in this area.
The position will normally be based at our head office in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham, but current government guidelines mean you will be temporarily working remotely.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Our busy news desk is expanding, and we’re looking for a brilliant reporter to join the team at our main office in Birmingham, UK.
At Caters, our journalists fill the pages of national newspapers with top-quality stories every day, covering everything from hard breaking news to the offbeat tales that get people talking.
We’re looking for a real ‘people-person’ who can start up a conversation with anyone, and get even the most reluctant interviewee to open up.
You’ll need to be switched on enough to spot a great story, and ambitious and determined enough to make sure you’re the first person to get that story.
In addition to covering breaking news, successful candidates will be expected to generate their own ideas, so being a creative self-starter is a must.
We want someone who can hit the ground running, who’s not afraid to get stuck in.
Our content appears in every UK national newspaper – and our first-class worldwide syndication department means that our journalists’ work ends up in publications all over the world – from Germany to the USA, Australia, and beyond.
Dozens of our staff have gone on to be head hunted by national newspapers – there’s no better place to make a name for yourself in journalism.
If you’re a switched-on, creative, passionate and ambitious journalist who wants to see your stories published in media outlets across the globe, then it’s the ideal opportunity. Candidates need to have an NCTJ qualification, as well as their own transport and a clean driving licence.
As with all the best jobs in journalism, having a thick skin and a sense of humour is also helpful. Clock-watchers need not apply.
The ideal candidate will have experience at an agency or on a regional paper, but applications from exceptional entry-level reporters are also welcome.
