GLACIER BIKE RACE
These sensational images show part of an avalanche of 142 cyclists, hurtling down a Swiss mountain in the annual Glacier Bike Race. The race starts approximately 3,500m up the mountain, where the cyclists have to battle for the lead position with icey-intensity. The racers have been known to hit speeds of up to 144km/h, and the quickest competitors can crash down to the finish line in Saas Fe, Switzerland, in around eight minutes.
