RARE WHITE KERMODE BEAR
You may be mistaken for thinking this is a polar bear that's taken a wrong turn and found itself in the woods - but these enchanting images show an extremely rare 'white' black bear. Neither a polar bear nor an albino, this beautifully unique creature is known as the spirit bear, a white variant of the North American black bear.Extremely rare, the bear, also known as the kermode bear, lives amongst the dense green forests of British Columbia.

BIGGEST CAVE PASSAGE
These are the breathtaking images which capture the hidden depths of the world's biggest cave passage - so large the end is yet to be found. Hidden in the depths of the Vietnamese jungle lies The Hang Son Doong, part of a network of over 150 caves. Discovered by British cavers in 2009, the cave passage in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park was originally thought to be a modest 150 metres long and 200 feet high.

THE BEAUTIFUL MACHU PICCHU
These are the remarkable images taken over 100 year's ago, by the man who discovered one of the seven wonders of the world - the lost Inca city of Machu Picchu. The black and white images were taken by American explorer Hiram Bingham during the early 1900's after he discovered the ancient city by accident. Bingham a lecturer at Yale University was searching for the famed ruins of Vilcabamba when he stumbled across Machu Picchu.

ISOLATED BABY SEA TURTLES
These pictures taken by photographer Kent Kobersteen show the nesting habits of female turtles on the isolated volcanic island between Angola and Brazil. The images taken between March 31st and April 6th, 2011 document the intricate mating season of the green turtles who swim some 2,000km to and from the island for mating and nesting.

Hanging precariously in TENTS off a jaw-dropping 4,000ft vertical cliff face wouldn't be most peoples idea of the perfect camping trip.But for these daredevil explorers, scaling cliffs and pitching tents at the equivalent height of more than 300 double decker buses is just a normal day at the office.For them, chasing the longest and hardest - and probably most dangerous - big wall climb ever attempted is a challenge they chase every day.

PENGUINS COVERED IN OIL
New images have emerged of the devastating oil spill which threatens to wipe out half the worlds population of Happy Feet penguins. Tens-of-thousands of Rockhopper penguins, made famous by the film Happy Feet, have been smothered in oil after a cargo ship ran aground on one of Britains remote South Atlantic islands. The M.S Olivia was grounded on Nightingale Island in the Tristan da Cunha, spilling over 1,500 tons of oil into the Atlantic Ocean.

FLAMINGOS FROM ABOVE
This is the remarkable moment a photographer captured a real 'bird's eye' view', as flamingos gather in the shape of a flamingo. The unbelievable image was captured by photographer Bobby Haas in Yucatan, Mexico. The aerial photographer was photographing a flock of pink flamingos from a helicopter, when the birds suddenly aligned themselves in the shape of a flamingo. He had spent around half an hour flying above the flock.
