OWL TURNS UPSIDE DOWN

OWL-CH! An owl was left looking a right TWIT - after twisting its head completely upside down. The barmy bird was intrigued by the sound of a camera busily snapping away at her and began to twist her head in confusion. But rather than focus her attention elsewhere the owl, called Minerva, kept on going until her head flipped 180 degrees upside down.

A photographer was left thanking his lucky stars - after patiently waiting three months in freezing temperatures to capture this dazzling display of light above the Rocky Mountains. This is the life-depending bridge that took TWENTY-SIX YEARS to build using living tree roots to connect two villages over treacherous waters. The unique living tree root bridge named 'Jembatan Akar' is located in Pesisir Selatan District, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The root bridge connects the two villages namely Pulut-pulut and Lubuak Glare and is made of a combination of roots woven into one of the two Kubang trees that have grown on both sides of the Bayang River.
