OWL TURNS UPSIDE DOWN
OWL-CH! An owl was left looking a right TWIT - after twisting its head completely upside down. The barmy bird was intrigued by the sound of a camera busily snapping away at her and began to twist her head in confusion. But rather than focus her attention elsewhere the owl, called Minerva, kept on going until her head flipped 180 degrees upside down.
NORTHERN LIGHTS STAR TRAILS
A photographer was left thanking his lucky stars - after patiently waiting three months in freezing temperatures to capture this dazzling display of light above the Rocky Mountains. Snapper Richard Gottardo, 29, spent winter camping out in the -35F mountains hoping to experience and photograph the breathtaking beauty of the aurora over the stunning surroundings of the mountain region.
SAVED BY BOTOX
A woman who turned into a human fireball has been saved - by botox. Karen Croule, 54, was left fighting for her life after a freak accident on her allotment near her home in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. She suffered burns to her face, neck and hands and needed several skin grafts. Amazingly, she pulled through but was left with a constant itch, which is common for burns sufferers.
AMAZING 3D ART
This eye-popping artwork looks like it's leaping off the page in 3D - but it's actually a trick of perspective. Playing with light, shadow, and perspective, Japanese artist Nagai Hideyuki creates these stylised optical illusions using the entire spread of his sketchbooks. Once propped against a wall and viewed from the perfect angle his illustrations seem to leap off the page creating a visual effect. Nagai Hideyuki, 21, from Japan, uses a pencil to conjure up amazing objects.

The popular American trend is sweeping through the UK, with people splashing thousands on pooch pampering to give their four-legged friends the ultimate star treatment. With a vast range of styles on offer, these mollycoddled mutts and moggies have been groomed to the peak of creativity.
ROOT BRIDGE
This is the life-depending bridge that took TWENTY-SIX YEARS to build using living tree roots to connect two villages over treacherous waters. The unique living tree root bridge named 'Jembatan Akar' is located in Pesisir Selatan District, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The root bridge connects the two villages namely Pulut-pulut and Lubuak Glare and is made of a combination of roots woven into one of the two Kubang trees that have grown on both sides of the Bayang River.
WORLDS OLDEST HEN
You have to yolking! The world's oldest hen has defied belief by laying eggs egg-ain - THIRTEEN YEARS after her last. The clucking wonder Victoria, who at 17 years old is thought to be the oldest living chicken, left owner Steve Cooper shell-shocked after squeezing out two eggs for the first time since 2000.
